I am an avid stock trader and have been trading stocks since 1995. I have done quite well when I started due to the hay days of the market at the time. I thought it was the best thing in the world to do until reality hit and the market started falling. Well since I was new to the market, I had no clue of how to trade in a down market and lost all of my profits.
I then shifted gears to the Real Estate market after I became tired of my stock losses. Once again I hit the jackpot from my initial $1 investment which turned into multi million dollars over the years. Again I lost most of my profits and I began to scratch my head and wonder if it was me or something else?
This time I also got depressed and took a break sorting out my thoughts and failures along the way. I found out that I wasn't listening to the closest people around me such as my wife and financial advisers. At the height of the market my wife told me to sell all of our R.E. holdings and my financial advisors told me to dump at least half or more and I still did not listen. I held on like a fool and they all tumbled like a ball of rubble.
The name Alexa came from my daughter. She is a wise 2nd grader who likes to think and work on her own. She gets frustrated when faced with a challenge but tries and tries until she gets it. I used some of her input when selecting stocks, she loves to read and write but most f all she is very creative and loves to work and help others. I am proud to say she's a very smart girl that always brings home A's and B's. She shows quite a bit of interest in stocks so I decide to create a section for her and her friends to come and play from time to time.
